Six Months - Happy Half Birthday To Me!

Today was my half birthday, and guess what I got to do...eat real food!!

It was a pretty eventful morning! I woke up to my mama and daddy singing Happy Birthday to me, and then I was placed in my Bumbo and a bib was attached to my neck. And then it was time!!! My first real food: rice cereal.

It is this white flaky stuff that you mix with milk. My mama mixed my cereal up in my porridge bowl while my daddy set me up in my Bumbo chair. My mama fed me with my long, tiny silver spoon, and my daddy took photos and videos.

Then my daddy fed me some, too!

I made all sorts of funny faces, but I certainly liked my cereal.

Hayley even tried to help me eat it. She sat right underneath the table the entire time hoping I would throw some bites her way. And I did try when I attempted to feed myself.

After a morning nap (sort of), my mama and daddy took me to the Dallas Zoo. It was a beautiful warm January day (rare for this time of year), and they thought it was time for me to see some animals.

I mostly just chilled and rode in my stroller, but my daddy let me ride in my Baby Bjorn, too.

I saw lions, cougars, tigers, flamingos, giraffes, elephants, and many more types of animals. I even saw lemurs...like King Julien! They were pretty funny!

Then I went and visited my Aunt Chan and Uncle Tripp. They played with me, and then we went to get sushi for supper. I didn't have any. I suppose cereal is all I get for a little while. Bummer...but it sure is delicious!!
