Merry 1st Christmas!!
We spent my first Christmas in Fort Worth at my Grand and Grandpa's house. We had a great big house full of family!
My Aunt Manda and Uncle Ryan were there with their dog Wiggy, and Uncle Ryan's mama and daddy (Cyelle and Dave) came, too!
My mama and daddy's friend Drew came by with his little girl 'Bella, and we got to play together. She is a little older than I am, and she liked playing with me because I looked like a little baby doll to her.
We went to Christmas Eve service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. It is the same church where I was Christened. My mama and daddy dressed me in a special outfit (of course!), and I even wore shoes! They were so cool and felt really weird on my feet! I spent most of the service untying my shoelaces. Then, I decided it was past my bedtime, and I had a little snooze on my daddy's shoulder.
The guy in the big red suit, Santa Claus, stopped by, but somehow I missed him. That's okay because he left me presents for Christmas morning. I got three new outfits, a swing, a jumper, and ABC wooden blocks, and I wore my Swedish Christmas pajamas with the Dala Horse on them. Also, look at my cool stocking! My great Aunt Jo knitted that for me. My great-grandmother, Nanna, used to knit stockings just like it for the entire Bronson family...now, I have my very own!
I also got some new clothes, dishes, and toys from my grandparents and aunt and uncle. I loved my new gifts, but I definitely had an appreciation for the big bows!
We had a great time, and there were lots of hands to hold me, rock me, change my diaper, and love on me. I never wanted to leave the party...and boy did I try to stay up for everything?! My mama and daddy kept trying to get me to nap, but I didn't want to. I didn't even want to sleep at night. What if I missed something cool? What a great Christmas!
And did I mention that I have officially started teething?!? I was telling Santa that all I wanted for Christmas was my two front teeth, but since I can't talk I guess he didn't hear me. Who wants to place bets on when these bad boys pop through???

Pre-Christmas Christmas
My Mamie, Papa Daddy, and Uncle Jon Michael came for a Pre-Christmas Christmas! We played and cuddled and watched the fire. But mostly, they just watched me!
We opened stockings and presents! (yes, my mama and daddy had onesies like me...how embarrassing!!)
We made gingerbread cookies for Santa!
And then I got another bath. :)

The Christmas Cookie Experiment
For my first Christmas, my mama and daddy wanted to make sure that Santa Claus had his token Christmas cookies. They decided that after baking a batch, I should "decorate" the cookies with my Mamie, Papa Daddy, and Uncle Jon Michael the week before Christmas to take to Fort Worth for the actual Christmas week. BUT...my daddy was going to be at work when this special event was going to take place so we decided to do a trial run at home with just the three of us first....Mama, Daddy, and me!....oh, and Hayley, too! :)
My mama isn't a baker (she will admit that), but for some reason, she said I inspired her to make some homemade gingerbread cookies. Yum! Then, she and my daddy made red icing and green icing. They dressed me in an old, too small onesie that they told me I could get dirty. Then the fun began!
They each took turns holding me while I placed my hands in the icing and then onto each cookie. I must say that I am quite the ar-teest!
I might have even gotten some icing on my feet...whoops! (thanks, dad!)
And there's a just a chance that I might have drooled in the icing, too....but I can assure you that each one was made with love.
I had such a good time and finished with a warm bath. I LOVE bathtime!

My Four Month Check-Up
I went in for my four month check-up today, and everything looks great! Both my mama and daddy got to go with me to see Dr. Shinn.
I even decided to roll from front to back for the doc just to show off. It was my first time! Thankfully the doc was standing up against the exam table because I would have rolled right onto the floor otherwise. Here are my stats:
Weight: 14 lbs, 12 oz (50th percentile)
Height: 26.5 in (90th percentile)
Head: 16.25 in (30th percentile)
I am a long and lean baby still, and I certainly do not have a "Person" head. The doc also told my mama to hold off on giving me cereal until six months because I am growing like a weed on breast milk alone.
I also got some of my second round of shots today...ouch! But I did okay and didn't run any fever.
